The Enterprise Mobile Social Networking Platform is designed for distributed organizations who needs to provide modern collaboration tools to their local chapters or subsidiaries, and let those sub-organizations to interact with each other as their local managers and supervisors allow. The solution have been successfully rolled-out and used by the world’s biggest charitable organizations and the US biggest commercial network.

The app links users with organization local chapters and with other app users from other chapters where the chapters managers control the access.

The Challenge

The world’s biggest charitable organization needed the new app with all the modern social, messaging, notification and ecommerce features. There are hundred of millions of people in the developing countries who have internet access only from their mobile phones. Red Cross is the main organization there that provide medical, ambulance, vaccination and disaster recovery services. The new RCI app should connect to the people in those areas to stay constantly connected to those services and get in-time notifications for all the disasters and availability of rescue services. The app should also provide education about international humanitarian laws and let families in disaster areas to be connected to humanitarian services and to each other.

RCI works in many countries through different partner organizations. So, the app, the partner services and the administrative portals had to be built with different features and operate separately in each country but provide a unified social network to all the app users.

Another challenge was a variety of cheap mobile phones in developed countries that placed additional requirements to the testing process of the mobile and web apps.

Our Approach

BeKitzur set a dedicated team of 12 experts in all required technology areas (iOS, Android, Web, Java, QA) who worked for 9 months with RCI product managers to build end-to-end system from the app prototype to a full features scalable production installation designed to handle millions of users.
